Optibase Ltd. subsidiary Media 100 on Tuesday announced the release of Media 100 HD for Mac OS X, providing Mac-based video professionals with another option for manipulation 10-bit uncompressed Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) digital video.
Media 100 HD for Mac sports flexible media manipulation: Editors can combine SD and HD, 4:3 and 16:9 aspect-ratio, analog and digital and compressed and uncompressed media in the same timeline. It also lets users mix motion-JPEG (M-JPEG), Digital Video (DV), Animation and other QuickTime codecs in the same timeline, in real-time. Users can also view SD and HD output simultaneously.
Media 100 HD features Media 100 Version 10 software. This new release adds a timeline with up to 99 video tracks, support for real-time full motion alpha channels, keyframable opacity controls in the timeline, real-time RGB color correction and more.
System requirements call for a Power Mac G5 2GHz dual-processor system or faster, 1GB RAM. Complete Media 100 HD systems are available through Media 100’s network of authorized resellers, but pricing was not immediately available.
