IDG World Expo on Wednesday offered details about the Macintosh Games Pavilion, featured at next month’s Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco, Calif. The pavilion will feature new games from publishers including Aspyr Media, MacSoft, Freeverse Software and Ambrosia Software. It’ll also be populated by an Arcade area where showgoers can get their hands on Power Mac G5s and iMac G5s running the latest titles available for the Macintosh.
Expected to be shown in the Games Pavilion are games like Doom 3, World of Warcraft, Myst IV Revelation, Call of Duty; United Offensive, Rise of Nations, Halo, Unreal Tournament 2004 and many other titles. A tournament area will also be available to let gamers test their skills against each other.
Creative professionals interested in the game industry who are attending this year’s conference tracks are also invited to check out Jeannie Novack’s one-day tutorial on Tuesday, January 11. Novack will offer details about the game industry, its history, demographic information, details on game platforms, genres, storytelling techniques, level design, interface design, audio and other topics. Novack is the founder and CEO of Indiespace.
Macworld Conference & Expo takes place from January 10 – 14, 2005 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Calif.
