Fnord Software on Monday released
SuperTIFF, a free Adobe After Effects plug-in that offers better support for the TIFF format than the software currently provides. While After Effects includes a Photoshop-style TIFF plug-in, SuperTIFF adds support for 16-bit TIFFs as well as Zip compression, includes a single-channel grayscale saving option and integrates better with After Effects’ Output Module dialog. In addition, Fnord notes that SuperTIFF enables Maya users to import HDR renders into After Effects without dynamic range loss. After Effects 5.5 is required.
