UK-based loopmeisters AMG have released ”
Rock for Garageband,” a collection of more than 1,100 Apple Loop-formatted audio loops designed to work with GarageBand, the do-it-yourself music kit included in Apple’s iLife 04 suite. The collection was created to evoke “the heyday of rock, from the thunderous, fat sound of the 70’s, through the sharp pop-rock 80’s to the aggressive metal of the early 90’s.”
The collection includes more than 340 drum loops, including beats and fills in various styles and kits, 130 keyboard loops, including Rhodes piano, Hammond organ and synth licks and riffs, and more than 640 guitar and bass loops — everything from riffs and solos to chords and squeals, noises and more. Tempos range from 60 beats per minute (BPM) to 170 BPM. An MP3 sample download is available.
Rock for GarageBand is available from the AMG Web site for £30 (about US$57 or €43) including postage worldwide — AMG said the new loop collection will be available “in all good US retailers” soon for $49.
