Callas software GmbH has announced that its pdfLayerMaker plug-in works with Adobe Systems Inc.’s recently released Acrobat 7 Portable Document Format (PDF) creation software. PdfLayerMaker lets you create layers for page objects like text, graphics, images or objects using different color spaces or transparency from directly within Acrobat 7 itself. The layers can be faded in and out, deleted, flattened or merged. Callas offers pdfLayerMaker for Mac OS X and Windows for €79 (US$105.74). The software also works with Acrobat 6.
