Chuck Joiner has posted his final User Group Report of 2004 to The Macintosh User Group (MUG) Center Web site. Available in streaming QuickTime or as a downloadable MP3 or Podcast file, this edition has Joiner talking to TidBITS’ Adam Engst about his three new Take Control books, as well as the TidBITS User Group Program; Brian Rotchschild, executive director of the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus, which will stop by next month’s Macworld Conference & Expo San Francisco; and The Graphic Report’s Lesa Snider, who completes her three-part “Great MUG Graphics” series.
In other news, Joiner notes that KeynoteUser.com has extended its offer to user groups of 10 percent off anything in its online store. Until Jan. 1, you can e-mail Joiner from the MUG Center site to receive the information you need to take advantage of the discount. While you’re there, you may also want to take a look at the latest Regional Liaison Dispatch, which was submitted by David Feng in Asia, as well as the results from last week’s user group survey question, which produced widely varied results about the community activities and charity projects that MUGs participate in. There’s no survey question this week, but it will return next week as The MUG Center greets 2005 with a fresh slate of user group meetings and plans for Macworld San Francisco.
