IDG World Expo, producer of Macworld Conference & Expo, announced on Wednesday that it has added “Live on Stage” to the events happening at next month’s trade show in San Francisco. Comprised of more than 20 hours of free training classes, Live on Stage will take place from 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM during each day of Macworld SF, which runs Jan. 10 to 14. The sessions will take place on the exhibit hall’s main stage and the first day will include the tutorials “The iPod Supersession,” hosted by Macworld magazine’s Chris Breen; “iPod: Beyond the Usual,” presented by author Scott Knaster; “Converting Old Tapes and Records for Use on an iPod,” hosted by Roxio’s Adam Fingerman; and “iPod in Education,” presented by Mike Lawrence of Computer Using Educators.
Later in the week, the sessions will cover digital photography, DVD creation, AppleScript tips and more. Each day, Inside Mac Radio and Your Mac Life show hosts Scott Sheppard and Shawn King will also stop by to update attendees on the latest news coming out of the show. On the final day, Live on Stage will present the Macworld Best of Show awards, hosted by MacCentral’s Jim Dalrymple; that session will also include discussions with, and demos by, the winners.
Macworld Conference & Expo, Macworld magazine and MacCentral are owned by IDG.
