Aspyr Media Inc. on Tuesday announced that its Macintosh conversion of the Command & Conquer Generals expansion pack
Zero Hour has hit its beta development milestone. The game is planned for a February 2005 release, and is available for pre-order for US$29.99.
Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour is the first expansion pack for the real-time strategy game that came out for the Mac last year. Set in the near future, Command & Conquer Generals pits three superpowers — the United States, China, and the Global Liberation Army. Zero Hour adds 30 new units and 20 new upgrades and 15 new missions to the original game, which is required for play.
System requirements for Zero Hour are the same as the original Command & Conquer Generals: They call for Mac OS X v10.2.8 or later, a G4/1GHz or faster processor, 256MB RAM, 1.6GB free hard disk space, ATI Radeon 7500 or Nvidia GeForce2 MX or better 3D graphics with at least 32MB VRAM and DVD drive. Online play requires Internet or LAN access; online gaming is Mac-to-Mac only.
