Kanguru Solutions on Tuesday announced an upgrade to its line of DVD duplicators, which until now ran at 8X speed. Bumped up to 16X, the new devices are compatible with the DVD+/-R, DVD+/-RW, CD-R and CD-RW formats and are capable of burning the contents of one disk to one, three, five or seven blanks. They can function as standalone units or can connect to a Mac via USB 2.0, using the included burning software to manage the process.
Pricing is US$499.95 for the duplicator capable of making one-to-one copies, $999.95 for the one-to-three version, $1,399.95 for the one-to-five model and $1,699.95 for the one that can burn seven copies simultaneously. Mac OS X v10.2 is required. Kanguru’s Web site was not updated as MacCentral posted the new version of this article.
