CES: Seagate offers 400GB drive, one-button backup

Seagate Technology on Wednesday announced it’s shipping its External Hard Drive with capacities up to 400GB. The new 400GB drive features a button that enables Mac or PC users to back up the contents of their computer’s internal hard drive quickly and easily, using CMS’s BounceBack Express software. The new drive features an interlocking design that can be mounted vertically or stacked horizontally; it’s equipped FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 interfaces and comes with lifetime tech support. The new 400GB model joins 200 and 300GB capacities; Seagate also makes 160GB and 250GB models in USB 2.0 only without backup software. Pricing was not announced.
