IDG World Expo on Thursday announced Macworld On Tour, a new, regional, conference-driven version of Macworld Conference & Expo coming to the Radisson WorldGate Resort in Kissimmee, Fla. from March 9 – 10, 2005.
“By taking Macworld on the road, Mac enthusiasts in the Florida area will be able to receive the same type of world class education provided in our conference programs and discover the latest developments and hottest Mac products,” said Warwick Davies, group vice president, IDG World Expo, in a statement.
Two categories of conference tracks are planned for the event: Advanced Sessions and Basic/User Sessions. The Advanced Sessions feature detailed training in pro and prosumer audio, digital photography, AppleScript and Automator, Digital Video, DVD, Mac OS X Hints and a Mac OS X v10.4 “Tiger”-related “SuperSession.” The Basic/User Sessions include iPod/iTunes/GarageBand, iLife, Microsoft Office, Mac Maintenance Guide and Intro to AppleScript.
In addition to the conferences the event will include what IDG World Expo describes as “a showcase component featuring an exclusive selection of the preeminent vendors in the Mac industry.”
IDG World Expo and Mac Publishing LLC are both owned by International Data Group (IDG).
