On Monday, Xerox Corp. announced that its high-end Phaser EX7750 laser printer, which was designed with graphic arts professionals in mind, is now available for order and is on display at Macworld Conference & Expo San Francisco. Phaser EX7750 is available in a package that includes the printer and EFI’s Fiery EX7750 color print server, with prices starting at US$17,899, or by itself, with prices starting at $5,599. The printer is capable of producing 600dpi output at 35ppm in either color or black-and-white and features a 1200dpi high-gloss mode for producing brochures, posters and other media requiring a glossy finish. It can hold up to 3,150 sheets of paper from as many as five separate trays. Mac OS X v10.3.3 is required for the server software while the printer operates on Mac OS X v10.1 or higher.
