If you belong to a Macintosh User Group (MUG) and will be at Macworld Conference & Expo San Francisco this week, visit the special calendar set up by the MUG Center’s Chuck Joiner to view all the MUG-centric events happening in the User Group Lounge and elsewhere at the show. Joiner and MUG Center contributing editor Lesa Snider will be in the lounge on Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. to talk about the Web site and how MUGs around the world can take advantage of it. He and Snider will also present at the “Live on Stage Theater” on Thursday and Friday; topics and times can be found on the MUG Center site.
Other MUG events you can check out during the show include special presentations at the San Francisco Apple Store starting at 6:00 P.M. on Monday and the Final Cut Pro user group event happening Wednesday night at 7:00 P.M. Hosted by the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group, the evening includes presentations by Apple’s Bill Hudson, who will discuss the company’s upcoming Xsan server software; John Lennon Educational Tour Bus executive director Brian Rothschild; AJA1’s Ted Schilowitz, who will talk about the making of the music video for Jet’s “Are You Going to Be My Girl;” Intelligent Assistance’s Philip Hodgetts, who will demonstrate new ways to achieve multi-cam editing in Final Cut Pro; CinemaSports’ Jin Woo Joo; and Chris Jenkins, who will show clips from his documentary “Matador,” which was made in high-definition.
