Ovolab on Tuesday released Phlink 2.0, a new version of its telephony software for the Macintosh. With Phlink, the Mac can become an answering machine and what Ovolab calls “a telphone answering center,” greeting callers with personalized messages, playing caller-specific ringtones, sending you voice messages by e-mail and more.
The new 2.0 release — available to Phlink 1.x users for US$29.95 — adds a searchable call log window that lets you play back and annotate calls. Smart lists display missed calls, last week’s calls and more. The new version also includes a 143-page manual that details the myriad features of Phlink. Phlink 2.0, which includes the software and telephone USB adapter, costs US$149.95 and requires Mac OS X v10.2 or higher. Macworld Expo attendees can find Ovolab at booth #749.
