Management Software Inc. on Monday released JobOrder 12, which will be on display at the company’s booth during Macworld Conference & Expo San Francisco. Improvements to the business process software include the scheduling tools TimeTravel, MindReader, SmartScheduler and ActivityTravel as well as such added features as benchmark reports, digital asset management, an inventory query wizard and more.
The new scheduling tools revolve around time slips filled out by employees depending on the projects they’re working on, as well as the schedules set up by project managers. TimeTravel moves blank time slips to the next day so that those employees have an ongoing stream of open assignments. MindReader examines the projects scheduled for each employee and creates time slips showing them their tasks for the day. ActivityTravel creates dependencies between activities and moves subordinate tasks to the future, after the master activities are completed. SmartScheduler is a dashboard tool that brings together all employees and their projects in a single view; managers can assign employees to projects by dragging and dropping their names.
Upgrade pricing was not given on the Management Software Web site, nor were system requirements. Pricing for the full version of JobOrder depends on the modules required, number of users and other case-by-case specifics; you can view a full breakdown on the product pages.
