Intelli Innovations on Wednesday announced the release of Daneizo, a lending management system designed for use by schools and businesses. The package contains a USB 2.0 IntelliScanner Pro or a Bluetooth-enabled IntelliScanner Scanabout 800, asset tags, member cards for borrowers and three applications: Inventory, an asset management and tracking program; Collection, which manages such media as books and CDs; and xTagger, a utility for creating new asset tags.
With Daneizo, users can scan items and let the software’s autofill feature grab the necessary information, including images. Its SQL database can be used to generate a wide variety of reports and send out overdue notices to members. The included member cards and asset tags use Code 39 barcodes for easier scanning and tracking of items and the member cards are the size and thickness of credit cards.
Intelli Innovations offers Daneizo in two main configurations: one that allows an unlimited number of members and items in the database and comes with 1,000 asset tags and 60 lending cards; and one that’s limited to 40 active members per database and comes with 500 asset tags and 40 lending cards. The former is US$1,999 with the USB scanner and $2,499 with the Bluetooth model; the latter is $1,399 and $1,899, respectively. A software-only is also available for $999. Mac OS X v10.2 is required.
