Canon on Friday announced the latest addition to its PowerShot line of digital cameras: the A510, a 3.2-megapixel model that will ship by the end of January for US$199.99. It features 3X optical zoom, a slot for SD storage cards and smaller dimensions than its predecessor, the PowerShot A75. The A510 also offers a nine-point autofocus system, 13 shooting modes and the ability to shoot video with sound for up to three minutes per clip. It ships with USB and AV cables, a wrist strap, a 16MB SD storage card, two AA alkaline batteries and a full complement of software, including ArcSoft PhotoStudio. Mac OS X v10.1.5 or higher is required.
