Pentax on Monday introduced its latest portable printers, the PocketJet 3 and 3 Plus. The new devices, which are slightly more than 10 inches wide and weigh less than one pound, feature USB and infrared ports, a rechargeable battery, ESC/P emulation and 200dpi (dots per inch) printing resolution, which increases to 300dpi in the PocketJet 3 Plus.
Both printers are available now with US$349 and $450 (3 Plus) price tags. They require Mac OS X v10.2.8 or v10.3.5 or higher. Pentax notes, however, that v10.2.8 requires the installation of ESP Ghostscript, which is included with the driver software.
