Pixlock on Thursday released iStabilize v2.0, a new version of its video stabilization software tool for Mac OS X. The new release features a redesigned motion tracker that the developer says is faster and more accurate than its predecessor. iStabilize 2.0 also recognizes cuts; motion tracking can be optional restricted to a spatial area you define. Movies can be cropped, and a new filling method has been added for smoother spatial transitions. Support for Quartz Extreme has been added and more. iStabilize costs US$59; upgrades from v1.x cost $24. iStabilize requires Mac OS X v10.2 or higher and QuickTime 6.0 or higher.
