Charlie Boisseau has released Net Tool Box v3.0, a new version of the networking utilities suite for Mac OS X. Net Tool Box 3.0 adds network statistics tracking, an SMTP tool that allows you to send e-mail, the ability to better filter network traffic using Traffic Watcher, Rendezvous service discovery, the ability to view your Mac’s Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) cache and much more.
Net Tool Box exposes many built-in networking functions of Mac OS X in an easy to use graphical interface, and also provides integrated features such as a port database containing more than 2,500 port numbers and their registered use; tracking of host address “favorites,” a graphical mapper that shows you where an IP address is physically located and much more. Net Tool Box 3.0 costs £20 to register (US$37.66). System requirements call for Mac OS v10.2.3 or later.
