In conjunction with its recent announcement of the version 6.5 release of its 3D modeling, animation and rendering software Maya, Alias has also announced a new “Platinum” bundle, a new Productivity Pack, and a “Get Current Program” to help users of older versions of Maya get up to date. All the new offers are available through June 30, 2005.
The Get Current Program allows any Maya user to upgrade to Maya v6.5; pricing is US$899 for those Maya 6 users who want to upgrade, or $1,399 for users of any version of Maya dating back to its version 1.0 release.
The Maya Productivity Pack combines Maya Complete or Maya Unlimited with a selection of Maya learning tools (the selection depends on which version of Maya you have) and a one-year subscription to Alias’ Silver Membership Program, which nets the subscriber access to special learning tools, contact with other Maya users, professional development tools and more. The Maya Productivity Pack costs US$2,199 for Maya Complete and $7,199 for Maya Unlimited.
The Maya Platinum Bundle combines Maya software — either Maya Complete or Maya Unlimited — with a one-year Platinum Membership, which offers increased license relocation flexibility, extended support hours, online case managed, and improved knowledge base and other benefits; a Maya Learning Tool and free shipping. The Maya Platinum Bundle for Maya Complete costs US$2,999 for node-locked licensing or $3,999 for a floating license. The Maya Platinum Bundle for Maya Unlimited costs US$7,599 for a node-locked license or $8,999 for a floating license.
