Kanguru Solutions on Thursday announced a redesigned QuickSilver External Hard Drive. Available with USB 2.0-only and Firewire 400/USB 2.0 combination interfaces, the QuickSilver now sports a new alloy casing that better dissipates heat during prolonged use, and can be stacked horizontally or stood vertically. An LED glows blue when the drive is operating. Kanguru’s QuickSilver line features 7200RPM drives and is available in capacities ranging from 80GB to 400GB.
Prices range from $129.95 to $599.95 depending on capacity and interfaces. The QuickSilver drive is compatible with Mac OS 9.1 or higher, including Mac OS X. Kanguru’s Web site had not been updated with information about the redesigned QuickSilver drive as MacCentral posted this article.
