The Iconfactory has updated its Mac OS X monitoring utility iPulse to version 2.1. The new release adds new features, more info and makes some bug fixes. It’s available for download from the Web site, and is a free update for registered users. iPulse 2.1 costs US$12.95 to register.
New features in iPulse 2.1 include support for the G5’s on-chip temperature, reading the temperature in both Fahrenheit and Kelvin. A new configurable menu “Status” bar has been added, and support has been improved for Griffin’s PowerMate. iPulse “jackets” — which allow iPulse users to customize the look and feel of the application — can now save status and info window settings, and compatibility has been improved with Panther’s Exposé feature.
The Iconfactory also notes that the iPulse Jacket Gallery has been updated with six new appearances, including some that support the new Status Bar settings.
