Curious Software will debut three new products, as well as upgrades to two existing applications, during the 2005 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) trade show, which will be held April 16 to 21 in Las Vegas. The new software — Curious Traffic Producer, Curious Map Presenter and Curious News Producer — extends the company’s line of broadcast mapping solutions into newsrooms and TV studios.
Curious Traffic Producer employs pre-defined design templates to create maps used in traffic reports, with options aimed at non-graphics professionals. Curious Map Presenter integrates with Traffic Producer as users drag and drop graphics or live video to those maps, for display immediately or when the presenter cues it up. Finally, Curious News Producer imports templates built in Curious World Maps, so that journalists and news editors can illustrate stories with world, regional or street maps.
Curious will also use NAB to unveil new features in Curious World Maps and 3D Animator. More specific information about the new and updated software, including system requirements and pricing, will be announced at a later date, a company representative told MacCentral. Product pages for the new applications were not available as MacCentral posted this article.
