Tokyo, Japan-based iPod accessory maker Tunewear on Wednesday introduced its new Prie PodWallet, a holder that accommodates Apple’s iPod and iPod mini, along with other items. The black leather holder will be available at the end of February 2005 for US$59.95.
The Prie PodWallet contains a holder that can loop Apple’s docking cable, to let your iPod charge and sync without having to remove it from the PodWallet. The PodWallet also includes a meshed net back and a hole for access to the iPod’s Hold switch. An “Organizer” area lets you keep credit cards, business cards and bills or documents. A multi-belt strap lets you hook the PodWallet to your waist or a bag strap.
Tunewear last September announced another Prie PodWallet — a limited run iPod holder made of pink PVC, designed specifically for the Japanese market. That device’s design ultimately inspired Tunewear’s Prie PodOrganizer, announced earlier this week. Although they share a common name, the new and old PodWallets are completely different holders — the new PodWallet is smaller, made of leather and available in black.
