Apple’s PowerSchool division on Monday rolled out PowerSchool Premier, a new version of the company’s Web-based student information systems (SIS) software that uses a more scalable Structured Query Language (SQL) database. PowerSchool Premier is aimed at larger schools and school districts that have more sophisticated technology requirements.
Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) support means that PowerSchool Premier can be integrated into workflows that support the ODBC standard. The software also comes with a bundled Schools Interoperability Framework (SIF) agent, which helps reduce duplicate data entry.
