Xeric Design has released
pzizz, a utility that generates aural “naps” that combine music, voice, sound effects and a binaural beat that the developers claim will induce “a wonderfully relaxed state.” The software generates audio files that can be exported to any QuickTime-compatible format, so it can also be included in your iTunes playlist or downloaded to your iPod.
Pzizz generates naps ranging from 10 to 60 minutes, and gives the user control over music and voice volumes, mono or stereo sound effects and other customizations. Xeric says there are billions of possibilities. Pzizz costs US$39.95 and requires Mac OS X v10.3 or higher. The evaluation mode will not export naps and is limited to one hour of nap time — paying for a registration key removes restrictions.
