Aspyr Media Inc. announced plans to publish a Macintosh conversion of LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game. The game combines the building fun of LEGO blocks with the popular Star Wars movies and mythology.
In LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game, you can play as more than 30 different Star Wars characters from each of the first three Star Wars episodes — including Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, due out in movie theaters this summer. You can “build and brainstorm,” participate in lightsaber duels, fly in a starfighter and more. Coming to PCs and game consoles in April, the Mac version of LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game is due out in August, 2005. The Mac conversion is being done by Aspyr’s frequent development partner i5works.
Preliminary system requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.7 or later; G4/1GHz or faster; 256MB AM; 2GB free hard disk space; ATI Radeon 8500 or Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 or later with at least 32MB VRAM and DVD drive. It will soon be available for pre-order from Aspyr’s Web site for US$29.99. For more general information you can visit the game’s official Web site.
