Maplewood, N.J.-based CaptureWorks has released the latest version of JobCapture, the company’s tool that tracks time spent working on documents as well as time spent away from the computer for other tasks. Version 5.1 adds CaptureConnect, a technology that enables third party developers to use the CaptureConnect SDK (software development kit) to create two-way connections between JobCapture and SQL, MySQL and other ODBC-compliant databases.
This update also adds ExpenseCapture, which allows users to enter fixed expenses so that all billables are tracked together, and OpenTrack, which enables the addition of new applications to the list tracked by JobCapture without the need for a plug-in from CaptureWorks. Contact the developer for upgrade pricing. The full software starts at US$199 per user for the first ten licenses, with discounts available for larger purchases. The manager and server software is included. CaptureWorks does not note system requirements on its Web site.
