SanDisk Corp. on Thursday also added a 2GB model to its
line of flash drives, which feature an outer shell made of a titanium alloy created by Liquidmetal Technologies. It will ship in April with a US$249.99 price tag, joining the currently available 512MB ($84.99) and 1GB ($169.99) versions. Like the other Titanium drives, it ships with three Windows-only utilities — the encryption software CruzerLock 2, the Outlook data synchronization tool CruzerSync and the file backup application Cruzer PocketCache — as well as a pocket clip, a keychain ring and a lanyard. Mac OS X v10.1.2 or higher is required.
