Tokyo-based company TuneWear on Friday announced the addition of designs dubbed Lux and Pearl to its series of Prie iPod cases for use with the standard 4G and photo iPods as well as the mini. The original cases have been renamed Classic and still come in key lime, ruby pink, canvas gray and jet black colors for US$24.95 each. The Lux series is available in black, brown, green and cream for $34.95 apiece while the Pearl cases offer blue, violet and bronze shades for $44.95. All of them come in two sizes, one for the 4G iPods and one that fits the iPod mini.
The Prie cases all feature the same design: a flip cover that protects the front of the player and opens for access to the click wheel and top ports, with an interior slot for holding credit or business cards and a slot on the bottom for the dock connector. They all include one long and one short strap. The differences lie in the materials: the Classic cases use leatherette while the Lux series features leather and the Pearl edition offers sheepskin. TuneWear will ship the new cases by the end of March.
