This week, Playlist was graced with a massive speakers roundup—covering speakers created for computers as well as those that comfortably fit an iPod. If you’ve got between $35 and $400 to enhance the sound at your desk or on the road, our Set Your Music Free speakers guide is for you.
Our Reviews Editor, Dan Frakes, looks at a clip, case, skin, and bag that might interest you. The clip is BTI’s iPod Belt, a collection of belt and lanyard attachments for dock-connector iPods. The case is PodsPlus Leather Case With Front Side Flip for iPod shuffle, a $20 “luxury” leather case for Apple’s smallest music player. The skin is PodsPlus Silicone Skin for iPod shuffle, a pair of silicone covers for the iPod shuffle that are priced lower than Pacific Rim Technologies’ Gel Shield (though Dan prefers the Pacific Rim skins). Of the bunch, we reserved a Playlist Pick for the $220 T.Shipley European Travel Bag. Dan writes, “the bag makes just the right compromises between stylish luxury and gadget practicality.” Check it out.
Finally, we bestow another Playlist Pick on Altec Lansing’s inMotion iM4, a “lite” version of the company’s popular IM3 portable speaker.
