MacPractice Inc. on Monday announced the forthcoming availability of Software Development Kits (SDKs) for its medical practice management software, MacPractice MD, MacPractice DDS and MacPractice DC (for physician’s offices, dentist’s offices and chiropractor’s offices, respectively). Using the SDKs, software developers can create their own applications designed to work with MacPractice’s offerings.
MacPractice applications run natively in Mac OS X and have been actively beta-tested since December. MacPractice Inc. promises to release the final versions this month, complete with integrated accounting, patient and insurance billing, management and database reporting features. The company plans to release scheduling and e-claims modules for release this summer. MacPractice uses MySQL for its back-end database.
The SDKs cost US$995 each and they’ll be out this April. The SDKs also require an annual support contract. MacPractice Inc. is offering pre-release orders for $750 instead.
