It’s been a busy week here at Playlist. Editor in Chief Christopher Breen has been attending and reporting from the South By Southwest Interactive/Music/Film festival and conference (more simply known as SXSW). And the staff is working hard putting together the next print issue of Playlist. But we’ve also been testing products for you, our loyal readers.
We spent a good deal of time over the past month testing out Digital Lifestyle Outfitter’s iBoom, a boom box outfitted with an iPod dock for loud and proud iPod playback. It has a few flaws, but it’s fun and functional and a unique product in the iPod accessories market. Just be sure to get the BoomBag with it.
We also looked at some nifty one-trick-pony gadgets for the iPod. Nyko’s iTop Button Relocator moves your iPod’s playback controls to the top of the iPod, making it simple to use your player when in a pocket or bag. The Stereo Link, also from Nyko, answers the question, “What’s the least expensive way to get great sound from my iPod to my home stereo.” And, finally, Audio Outfitter’s earPod eliminates those pesky cable knots that inevitably occur when you store your earbuds.
