Swoop Software has released Kitty Spangles Solitaire, a new solitaire card game for Mac OS X. The game features the friendly faces of Kitty Spangles and her friends Ferdiham the pig and Bim Bim the chimp. A downloadable demo is available; it costs US$19.95 to register.
Kitty Spangles Solitaire features a dozen animated colored backgrounds, auto-save, a full scoring system and high score table, the ability to resize the window and other features. It also includes a built-in help system. Kitty Spangles Solitaire requires Mac OS X v10.2 or higher.
Swoop Software comprises David and Sheryn Wareing, a husband and wife team based out of Adelaide, South Australia. David Wareing is best known as the maker of arcade-style action games published by Ambrosia Software Inc. His previous efforts include the Galaxian-style shooter Swoop (where the company gets its name), scrolling shooters Mars Rising and Deimos Rising (bundled on iBooks, eMacs and iMacs), and Bubble Trouble X (co-created by Alex Metcalf). The developers say that Kitty Spangles Solitaire “is the first of a range of casual games featuring Kitty and her friends Bim Bim the chimp and Ferdiham Horatio, Pig.”
