Realmac Software has updated its Mac OS X Web design software
RapidWeaver to version 3.1, adding features including direct FTP publishing support, unlimited sub-menus and more. Realmac counts more than 30 new features in this release, which is available as a free trial download and costs US$34.95 to register. (It’s a free upgrade for existing users.)
A turnkey solution for creating Web sites, RapidWeaver features more than 30 built in themes to give your Web site a professional look and feel (with hundreds more available for purchase and download from RapidWeaver theme designers). Built-in themes include sets for blogging, contact forms, file, movie and photo sharing and more.
Other new features include browser-based site preview, support for sidebars, bread-crumb navigation, meta tag editor and custom page file name support. All of RapidWeaver’s themes are now created using validated Extensible Hypertext Markup Language (XHTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). RapidWeaver can also be used to publish Web pages to .Mac accounts, and this release has been updated to support .Mac’s Framework 1.1.0.
