Geek Cruises has announced MacMania IV, an event co-sponsored by Macworld (the publishers of this Web site), which will set sail for the Mexican Riviera from February 4-11, 2006. As with other MacMania cruises, the days will be filled with informative sessions with some of the best-known Mac names in the industry including Chris Breen, Don Henderson, Janet Hill, Andy Ihnatko, Leo LaPorte, Bob LeVitus and Sal Soghoian.
The “Ingenious Bar” consultation service will also make its debut on February 5, 2006. Designed to provide informal one-on-one assistance, Leo Laporte and Neil Baumanwill help MacManiacs get up and running on their Macs and Mac applications while on the ship.
MacMania IV sails roundtrip from San Diego, with port calls in Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Inside cabins start at $799; outside cabins start at $999, and verandah cabins start at $1299.
