Diskology Inc. on Wednesday introduced a smaller version of its
Disk Jockey, a hardware appliance that duplicates, backs up and diagnoses hard disk drives. It retails for US$329.
The device works in conjunction with a Mac or PC but can also operate independently; it connects hard drives using a FireWire or USB 2.0 interface. The Disk Jockey can perform block-level hard disk to hard disk copies and verificatons, can span hard disk volumes, performs read tests, can do RAID mirroring and multiple erasures.
