Mac specialist Deborah Shadovitz has announced the
2nd Annual Regional Macintosh Gathering
set to happen in Los Angeles, Calif. May 13-15, 2005. The event will take place at the Beverly Garland’s Holiday Inn in North Hollywood.
Friday, May 13 is the in-depth course day — so far, the event has information on one such class posted — FileMaker Pro Bootcamp, presented by Anton Anderson — a full-day course including lunch that will take FileMaker Pro neophytes through the database software. Other courses are coming, according to the Web site.
Exhibits, free features and seminars have been scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, May 14 – 15, from 10 AM to 6 PM. The exhibit hall will feature Mac vendors, including reps from Apple’s own L.A. “The Grove” retail store, Elgato, EazyDraw, Final Draft, MacSpeech, Micromat and more. Free feature presentations include a look at the latest versions of Microsoft Office and Virtual PC, Podcasting, and a look at Macs in radio and law. Seminars have been set up in four separate tracks, “Newbie,” “Geek Time,” “Pro Design” and “Business.”
