Aspyr Media Inc. announced Tuesday they are brining Equinux’s iSale software to retail store shelves in May, 2005. iSale is an eBay helper utility for Mac OS X that enables users to make and manage their own auctions on the popular service. Up to now, iSale has been sold as downloadable software only.
eBay-certified, iSale lets you edit auction layouts, changing fonts, colors and more. iSale integrates with Apple technology, as well: You can use your Apple iSight webcam to take pictures of objects you want to sell on eBay, use iPhoto to ready auction photos for upload and more. You can also prepare your auction offline, uploading it when you’re ready; keep an overview of the current auction status, and more. Information about iSale is available from Equinux’s Web site and will soon be posted to Aspyr’s Web site as well.
Compatible with eBay USA, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, UK, Austria and Switzerland, iSale requires Mac OS X v10.3 or later, an Internet connection and an eBay account. The software costs US$29.99 and will be available soon from Aspyr’s Web site.
Although Aspyr is best known as a purveyor of Mac and PC games, the company has recently diversified its portfolio to include utility software for the Mac as well. It is shipping CandyBar Plus, an enhanced version of CandyBar and Pixadex the Mac OS X icon and desktop customization and organization tools created by Panic Inc. and The Iconfactory.
