Toshiba’s Digital Products Division on Tuesday introduced the TDP-SC25U mobile projector, designed to work with Macs, PCs and other input sources. It also includes a detachable document camera so users can show off 3D objects or other physical demonstrations.
Priced at US$1,199, the TDP-SC25U features 1800 ANSI lumens brightness and a 2000:1 contrast ratio paired to its 800 x 600 pixel native resolution. It uses Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology for imaging, and touts composite, component and S-Video inputs alongside a 15-pin d-sub connector that can be connected to a Power Mac or PowerBook with a DVI to VGA adapter.
The device weighs 8.6 pounds and easures 14.5 x 10.2 x 3.8 inches. It is designed to be used in classrooms, offices or on the road. It comes in a metallic silver casing and includes a remote control, one touch auto setup and other features. Toshiba says the new TDP-SC25U is shipping now.
