Harmonic Vision on Wednesday announced Music Ace Maestro, a software application for Mac and Windows that is aimed at music educators working with elementary-aged students. The tool combines the 48 music lessons included Music Ace and Music Ace 2, sequenced in pedagogical order, and introduces “Maestro Manager,” a new suite of student assessment and curriculum management tools.
The software lets teachers create and manage their own custom lesson sequences, manage student and group instructional options, import assessment data from Music Ace and Music Ace 2, export assessment data in industry-standard format, and archive records.
Music Ace Maestro ships on a single CD-ROM for various versions of Windows, Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. It requires 32MB RAM, 640 x 480 256-color display and 60MB hard disk space. Music Ace Maestro starts at US$127.95; current users of Music Ace products can get a 60 percent credit to upgrade to Music Ace Maestro.
