Apple Computer on Wednesday confirmed that they have settled a second lawsuit brought against three of its developers for leaking early copies of its Mac OS X Tiger software. As a paid member to Apple’s Developer Connection, developers get early access to many types of software, but are forbidden under NDA to distribute any of it. The men allegedly released development versions of Tiger on a file-sharing Web site.
“Apple has settled out of court with another student who participated in the distribution of Mac OS X ‘Tiger’ on a file-swapping website,” Apple said in a statement given to MacCentral. “Vivek Sambhara has accepted responsibility for his actions and Apple is pleased to put another part of this case behind us.”
Other details of the settlement are not being released and will remain confidential.
Apple first sued the three developers in December 2004 and settled with the first one in March 2005. There was no word on how the case is progressing with the third developer.
