Speck Products on Thursday unveiled its Shuffle Dock, an alternative to Apple’s own iPod shuffle Dock Connector that costs US$5 less, at $24.95.
The Shuffle Dock sits on your desk and provides a spot for you to plug in your iPod shuffle, presuming you can’t reach one of your Mac or PC’s USB 2.0 ports. It’s molded in an all-white design and includes a 4.5-foot USB cord. A non-stick rubber bottom keeps the Shuffle Dock securely in place. And if you’ve wrapped your iPod shuffle in one of Speck’s own SkinTight shuffle skins, the company notes that the Shuffle Dock works with those too. Speck is accepting pre-orders now and expects to ship the Shuffle Dock on May 6, 2005.
