Griffin Technology Inc. on Monday announced they’re shipping the AirClickUSB Remote for Macs and PCs. Like their AirClick for iPods, the AirClickUSB uses Radio Frequency (RF) technology to communicate with its remote from up to 60 feet away, without requiring a line of site.
The AirClickUSB is compatible with all Macs and PCs that have a USB port, running Mac OS X or Windows XP. The package ships with a USB receiver, remote control, software CD and USB extension cable, for US$39.99. AirClickUSB’s software enables Mac users to control iTunes, PowerPoint, Keynote, QuickTime and DVD Player using the wireless remote control. Griffin also plans to update the software to include additional application support.
The AirClickUSB receiver can be paired to any remote unit, so if you already have the AirClick for iPod, you can use the same controller.
