First International Digital Inc. (FID) on Monday introduced the irock Beamit 410FM wireless music adapter. The US$19.99 enables any audio device equipped with a headphone or lineout jack to transmit its music by FM to a nearby radio (within 10 to 30 feet, according to the company), whether it’s in the car or on the house. The device measures 2 x 2.8 x 1.0 inches and weighs 2.3 ounces with two AAA batteries installed. The batteries last for up to 13 hours of play. It broadcasts on ten available FM frequencies and can also draw power from an auto cigarette lighter or accessory outlet using an included adapter.
