Roxio has released a version 6.1 update for its popular CD and DVD burning software Toast Titanium. It’s available for download by registered Toast users, from Roxio’s Web site. The new release fixes a number of bugs and makes a number of minor enhancements, but it also disallows users from including iTunes Music Store-bought content in their Toast projects.
Among the changes in this release are data, copying and video-related bug fixes associated with Mac OS X v10.4 “Tiger.” Roxio has also resolved issues related to aspect ratio detection in Final Cut Pro, DVD-R Dual Layer (DL) support and more.
“Following discussions with Apple, this version will no longer allow customers to create audio CDs, audio DVDs, or export audio to their hard drive using purchased iTunes music store content,” notes Roxio in the version 6.1 release notes.
Roxio has also updated Deja Vu, the backup scheduling software bundled with Toast Titanium, to version 3.1. This update is a Tiger-related fix.
