The Mozilla Organization has released Firefox v1.0.4, a new version of their popular Web browser for multiple platforms, including Mac OS X. The new release gains security fixes and adds a fix to correct DHTML errors encountered at some Web sites.
Security fixes made in this release include issues related to code execution via javascript, URLs bypassing security checks in “wrapped” javascript and privilege escalation via non-DOM property overrides. The DHTML error fix corrects an error that first appeared in Firefox 1.0.3, the previous release.
Firefox 1.0.4 is free to download and use. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.1 or higher.
