If you use Now Software’s collaborative calendaring and contact management software Now Up-to-Date and Contact, you may be aware that the current release is incompatible with Mac OS X v10.4 “Tiger.” Now Software initiated a pre-release testing program that may help you with the transition, if you’re willing.
Shortly before Tiger shipped, Now Software noted that the current 4.5.3 release is not compatible with the new Mac OS X release. The fix will come in June, according to the developer, with the release of a major new 5.0 upgrade that will also offer new features like new team scheduling capabilities, a new Now Server Manager and more.
Now Software has posted a signup page that allows users to register for a pre-release version of the software. “This program is designed to assist current customers that need to run Now Up-to-Date and Contact on Mac OS X 10.4 ‘Tiger’,” said a disclaimer on the page. “The pre-release version does not include servers. Please use your existing Now Up-to-Date & Contact servers. In addition, some functionality has been disabled.”
