Audio application-maker Native Instruments recently announced demo versions of two applications, a new application called Guitar Combos and KONTAKT 2, the company’s flagship sampler.
Guitar Combos is a series of three amp emulations — the Twang Combo, the AC Box Combo and the Plexi Combo. All three combos consist of a classic tube amplifier with a speaker box and several integrated effects. Guitar Combos use the same “Dynamic Tube Response” technology found in the company’s popular Guitar Rig product. The full version of Guitar Combos costs US$199.
KONTAKT 2 is the second-generation Native Instruments’ sampler. A new sampling engine, surround integration, the KONTAKT Script Processor (KSP), integrated convolution effects, improved import capabilities and a 15GB sample library are all features of the new version. The full version of KONTAKT 2 costs US$579.
Demo versions of both products can be downloaded from the company’s Web site.
